Our Standard 2-Hour Fire-Rated Door
One of our most popular fire roller shutter doors is the RS FS1 system. This electrically operated vertical fire roller shutter consists of a tough, galvanised steel fire shutter system with 75mm slats, plus a galvanised steel box assembly and guide rails.
The 75mm thick, 2–hour fire–rated shutter door is designed to act as a security barrier during normal use and to be closed automatically during a test or an emergency situation.
In the event of receiving a fire alarm signal, the electric–operated fire shutter will activate and perform a powered descent to create a fire–resistant barrier.
More reliable than a 1-hour fire-rated door, it is designed to withstand flames for up to 2 hours.
This fire shutter door is tested and approved to BS 476: Part 22: 1987 and BS EN 1634-1: 2008 and fitted with a fire interface panel to connect to the fire alarm system. It also has a backup battery to enable normal operation in the event of a mains power failure.
